Lions Sports Academy kicked off the New Year with a brilliant masterclass taking place at Chiswick Rugby Club. It was a great day and Chiswick's state of the art 4G pitch was a great asset to have in order to develop the basic skills of rugby. Two of Lions Sports Academies Ambassadors, Leanne Riley (Harlequins & England) & Vicky Fleetwood (Saracens & England) are among 28 players to have been awarded full-time professional contracts for 2019. The RFU announced last September that they would be introducing new full-time contracts for women's 15-a-side players. Lions Sports Academy rounded off 2018 with our final camp of the year at Ely Tigers Rugby Club on Friday 28th December. It was a fantastic day and a brilliant way to finish the year. All coaches from Wimbledonian Warriors and other clubs were invitied along to learn about new drills that they could use when coaching or improve already existing drills that they are using.
