Lions Sports Academy were pleased to have been invited to the ISA contact and Touch Rugby Tournament at Littlegarth School near Colchester on Wednesday 7th November.
The tournament had 8 teams involved from Littlegarth, Quinton House, Finborough, St Margarets, Colchester High School, Rushmoor and Faraday House with 4 teams each participating in the touch and contact events.
Lions CEO Andy Jones was invited to perform a 10 minute coaching masterclass to each of the teams that attended the event. Andy got the kids involved in some fun handling activities as well as practicing their footwork and defensive skills in short-sharp drills. Despite a brief heavy shower and the windy conditions, the kids seemed to thoroughly enjoy the masterclass, with some exceptional skills being displayed as well.
There were plenty of smiles and laughs throughout the day and it was pleasure to be invited along to perform the masterclass for the kids and hopefully we can return soon to perform more camps for the kids.
We are attending a similar event in Bedford, hosted by Rushmoor School, on Friday 9th November and can’t wait to see more talent being shown by the teams involved.
