Full name: Stephen Gill
How long have you been coaching?
I have worked as a coach at Grasshoppers RFC for over 13 years. During this time I have worked with the
various age groups in the Mini, Junior and Girls sections which has helped develop the relevant coaching
experience required.
During this time I took on the role of mentoring new coaches in the Mini Section with the aim of establishing good coaching practice within the club. This included player development and health and safety risk assessment.
How did you get into it and why coaching?
I got involved in coaching when I took my children down to my local rugby club. The club were looking for volunteers and as an ex player I was more than happy to help out with the coaching.
Why Lions?
There is a close fit between the Lions Academy's culture and my own coaching ethos.
