How Lions are Recruiting Coaches in Gloucestershire

After success in the South East, Lions Sports Academy is taking its sports coaching services west to Gloucestershire.

On Monday 9th of January, on a freezing cold night, Lions Founder Andy Jones was given a warm welcome by the team at Longlevens Rugby Club where we hosted one of our Coaches Network recruitment sessions. To become a coach with Lions all applicants must go through a strict 3-step recruitment process, starting with an initial call, an invite to a taster session where coaches need to coach 5 minutes to the rest of the group and finally an interview to feedback on their performance and see if they are a right fit for the business.

Monday was the second part of the strict 3-step recruitment process to ensure that we recruit the right people to work with our school and club partners. 12 coaches attended the session and completed a 5-minute taster session. All coaches were recruited from our initial drive with Hartpury University and we were delighted with the talent on offer. We are looking forward to inviting some of them to join our network to support coaching throughout Gloucestershire.

Massive thanks to our partners Halbro Sportswear for helping us set up the event and massive thanks to Longlevens Rugby club for hosting us.
