Girls School Rugby Festival 2023 Is Here. Book Your Space.

The last 12 months have been a monumental time for Women's and Girl's rugby. The 6 Nations was played in its first time away from the men's game, the 30-game winning streak from the red roses leading to the Rugby World Cup final with both events hitting record numbers of crowds which highlights the rate at which this game is growing!

Due to the delayed World Cup, we have a shortened countdown to the next World Cup to be hosted here in the UK, with the final at rugby HQ, Twickenham Stadium!

In an attempt to encourage more girls into rugby, Lions are running the second year of our Girls Rugby Festival in partnership with Lord Wandsworth College who are kindly hosting for us. Last year saw 20 teams from 10 schools enter the tournament and next year we are aiming to double in size to host 40 teams across U11 (years 5-6), U13 (years 7-8) and U15 (years 9-10) age groups.

The rugby festival will be a touch rugby tournament with an opportunity to have coaching from the Lions Sports Academy team, plus a visit from a Premier 15 and England international player.

“Thanks for a brilliant day today- the girls had a great day!” (James Allen Prep School)
