"The girls were in awe to start with". These were the words of The Royal Latin Schools, Director of Rugby, Mike Porteous after England Women's 7s star Amy Wilson Hardy meet the schools U13 & U15 girls rugby players.
It is not a suprise that many of the girls were in awe of Amy to start with considering she is one of the biggest names in England Women's 7s at the moment & it was tremendous that these girls had the opportunity to meet someone of Amy's stature.
During her visit to the school, Amy gave an assembly to the girls before leading them in their after-school rugby session. It was a fabulous session with some brilliant skills on show. There were 32 girls present for the session & they certainly threw themselves into the practical session. It was a great day & one that we would certainly hope to do again with the school.
